Asakusa is almost like touring the Notre Dame in Paris. For most people it is like going to an educational museum, but for a few it is a religious experience. We were the former. The first picture is of the gate. The second picture is of the five story pagoda. The third picture is of the Buddhist temple but, like Notre Dame, is covered in scaffolding. The forth picture is of the largest ginko tree I've ever seen. If we interpreted the sign right then it is 268 years old.
