In Shibuya we sought out a restaurant that specialized in whale. Before you is whale bacon and whale tongue in soy sauce. Both were tasty if not a bit pricey.
This menu was in English as well as Japanese, but most of the time the food is shown in pictures or lifesize plastic models in the front window. Cheap places have a vending machine out front that gives you a ticket after you punch in your selection. You give the ticket to the person behind the counter and wate for your food.
How difficult is it to navigate menus and order? Are they willing to help by speaking English?
